Treasure: Folding Boat
Perhaps you have noticed that I'm mostly doing these things alphabetically. I'll skip the blessed book, because it would not work properly in GURPS. The next item on the list is the folding boat, and it's pretty good!
Folding Boat
Folding Boat – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
A
folding boat looks like a small wooden box—about 12 inches long, 6 inches wide,
and 6 inches deep (volume of 0.27 cubic feet, p. LT34). It can be used to store
items like any other box. If a command word is given, however, the box unfolds
itself to form a fishing boat, 27’ (p. LT142). A second command word causes it
to unfold to a cog (p. B464). Any objects formerly stored in the box now rest
inside the boat or ship. A third word of command causes the boat or ship to
fold itself into a box once again. Each transformation takes 10 seconds.
The
enchanter enchants all three objects, combining them into a single
transformable object. Thus, instead of the inherent cost we calculate the price
of the objects, then add the price of the enchantment.
Statistics:
Alternate Form (Box; Magical, -10%; Requires a command word, -10%) [12] + Alternate
Form (Fishing Boat; Magical, -10%; Requires a command word, -10%) [12]. Boat,
x0.45; 11 EP.
TL3
Price: $17 + $5,000 + $23,000 + 2 x (11 x $320) = $63,074.
TL8 Price: $17 + $5,000 + $23,000 + 2
x (11 x $1,180) = $81,994.
Folding Boat – as a metatronic generator (using
