Last monsters that start with the letter F in Monster Manual for D&D 3.5. Fungi are either immobile or barely mobile and are not very intelligent.

Shriek: Movement within 4 yards of a shrieker (if spotted with Vibration Sense) causes the fungus to emit a piercing sound that lasts for 10 seconds, imposing a -8 penalty to Hearing to everyone within 4 yards. The sound attracts nearby creatures that are disposed to investigate it. Some creatures that live near shriekers come to learn that the fungus’s noise means there is food nearby.
