Sorcery: Boost Attribute Spells

These four spells can be cast instantaneously to increase the subject's attributes for a single roll.


Boost Dexterity
Keywords: Buff.
Full Cost: 30 points for level 1 + 18 points/additional level.
Casting Roll: None. Use Innate Attack (Gaze) to aim.
Range: 100 yards.
Duration: One second.

This spell raises the subject’s DX by 1 per level of the spell for one second. It cannot be used to increase a roll that represents several seconds of effort, such as a Regular Contest. The boosted attribute affects all secondary characteristics. This spell can be cast instantaneously while it is active, allowing the caster to use it as a response to an attack.
Statistics: Affliction 1 (HT; Advantage, Boost Dexterity 1, +180%; Fixed Duration, +0%; Increased 1/2D, x10, +15%; No Signature, +20%; Reduced Duration, 1/180, -40%; Reflexive, +40%; Sorcery, -15%) [30]. Notes: Each level of “Boost Dexterity” is DX 1 (Magical, -10%) [18]. Additional levels add additional levels of Boost Dexterity to the Advantage enhancement [+18].

Boost Health
Keywords: Buff.
Full Cost: 18 points for level 1 + 6 points/additional level.
Casting Roll: None. Use Innate Attack (Gaze) to aim.
Range: 100 yards.
Duration: One second.

This spell raises the subject’s HT by 1 per level of the spell for one second. It cannot be used to increase a roll that represents several seconds of effort, such as a Regular Contest. The boosted attribute affects all secondary characteristics except FP. This spell can be cast instantaneously while it is active, allowing the caster to use it as a response to an attack.

This spell raises a sapient subject’s IQ by 1 per level of the spell for one second. It cannot be used to increase a roll that represents several seconds of effort, such as a Regular Contest. The boosted attribute affects all secondary characteristics. This spell can be cast instantaneously while it is active, allowing the caster to use it as a response to an attack.

The boosted attribute affects all secondary characteristics except HP. This spell can be cast instantaneously while it is active, allowing the caster to use it as a response to an attack.
