Martial Art: Way of the Ascendant Dragon

A martial style based on a monk archetype for D&D 5E that I found by accident.

 

Way of the Ascendant Dragon – 4 points

 

Monks who follow the Way of the Ascendant Dragon revere the power and grandeur of dragons. They alter their own chi to resonate with draconic might, channeling it to augment their prowess in battle.

Skills: Blind Fighting; Jumping; Karate.

            Techniques: Aggressive Parry (Karate); Back Strike (Karate); Breakfall; Exotic Hand Strike; Hammer Fist (Karate); Jam (Karate).

            Cinematic Techniques: Flying Jump Kick; Whirlwind Attack (Karate).

            Perks: Biting Mastery; Chi Resistance (Hypnotic Hands); Chi Resistance (Kiai); Sure-Footed (Uneven).

 

Optional Traits

            Primary Characteristics: Increased ST, DX, or HT.

Secondary Characteristics: Increased Basic Move.

            Advantages: DR with Tough Skin and/or Limited, Acid, Cold, Fire, Electricity; Imbue (Magical, -10%); Language (Draconic); Super Jump; Temperature Tolerance. Various Innate Attacks to simulate draconic breath.

Disadvantages: Overconfidence; Sense of Duty (Dragons); Vow (Never harm dragons).

            Skills: Acrobatics; Flying Leap; Incendiary Weapon (Unarmed).
