Treasure: Immovable Rod
The immovable rod is an iconic D&D magic item. Here's my take on converting it.
Immovable Rod
Immovable Rod – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This
rod is a flat iron bar with a small button on one end. When the button is
pushed (a Ready maneuver), the rod does not move from where it is, even if
staying in place defies gravity. Thus, the owner can lift or place the rod
wherever he wishes, push the button, and let go. Several immovable rods can
even make a ladder when used together (although only two are needed). An
immovable rod can support up to 8,190 pounds before falling to the ground. If a
creature pushes against an immovable rod, it must make a win a Quick Contest of
ST against rod’s ST 63 to move the rod. The
rod has DR 6 and HP 14, it weighs 5 pounds. Each activation uses up 1 FP and
lasts 1 minute.
Statistics: Telekinesis
64 (Costs 1 FP, -5%; Independent, +40%; Magical, -10%; One Task, Keeping the
rod in one place, -75%; Reduced Range, 1/10, -30%) [64]. Weapon, Metal, x0.45; 29
EP.
TL3
Price: 2 x ($200 + 29 x $320) = $18,960.
TL8 Price: 2 x ($4,000 + 29 x $1180)
= $76,440.
