Sorcery: Body Control Spells II
More Body Control spells, some of which are quite unusual. Fumble is a spell that can almost guarantee a failed Dodge or an attack. Hair Growth is both a useful debuff and a helpful spell for balding people. Sensitize makes the subject vulnerable to pain, and Resist Pain makes him immune to pain. Decapitation makes the head of the subject harmlessly come off!
Decapitation
Keywords: Buff.
Full Cost: 82 points.
Casting Roll: None. Use Innate
Attack (Gaze) to aim.
Range: 100 yards.
Duration: Permanent until reattached.
The subject’s head comes off! When
this spell is cast, the subject’s head (or one of them, if the subject has
several) comes free of its body, but continues to live on its own. The subject
is not harmed, but the head takes falling damage if it is not carefully removed
or caught! The head can talk, see, and control the actions of its body
normally. If the head is somehow blinded (put in a bag, for instance), then it
will have trouble telling its body where to walk.
The head has your DX and HT, HP/2,
and Move and Dodge 0. It can bite at full ST in close combat. If the head is the
subject’s seat of consciousness, his body fights as its ally. If it isn’t (for instance,
if the subject has No Brain), it fights as an ally of his body.
The head may be reattached to the
body by holding them in place for a second. Reattaching the head ends the
spell.
Should the body die, the head lives on!

Fumble
Keywords: Resisted (DX).
Full Cost: 38 points.
Casting Roll: Will.
Range: Unlimited.
Duration: 1 second.
If the subject fails to resist, he
takes a -10 penalty to DX for the next DX-based roll he’s going to make during
the next second. This spell may be used instantly in response to at attack; in
this case the DX penalty applies to the attack roll.

Hair Growth
Keywords: Resisted (HT).
Full Cost: 51 points.
Casting Roll: Will.
Range: Unlimited.
Duration: Permanent until cut or
until falls out naturally.
Causes the subject’s hair and nails to
grow at a faster rate. If left unchecked, such growth interferes with vision
(as hair falls in the eyes; penalty up to -4 to Vision), movement (as the subject
trips on his beard; slows Move to x0.6) and handling ability (as nails get in
the way; penalty up to -4 to DX). Some bald people appreciate this spell, while
it lasts (baldness returns within about a month as the hair falls out
naturally). The caster may cause the spell to affect only a particular body
part, and may choose the desired length of hair and nails, determining the
penalties, if any. Should the hair be cut, it vanishes, so this spell is not
very useful when shearing sheep.

Resist Pain

10x, +15%; No Signature, +20%; Sorcery, -15%) [39]. Note: “Resist Pain” is Immunity

Sensitize
Keywords: Resisted (HT).

disadvantage.
