Monsters: Loumara II

Monsters: Loumara II

There's two things that I hate statting up in GURPS - shapeshifters and ghosts. Loumara, fortunately, are only the latter, because otherwise I'd go insane. There's only two loumara demons in the Fiendish Codex I, where they were introduced, but there was also two additional ones in various issues of the Dragon Magazine let's convert the latter two. Caligrostos are very cool, but their abilities are such a pain to stat up!

Incorporeal Touch (13): thrust 1d-4 toxic damage (KYOS: 1d-5 toxic). Can be used both against substantial and insubstantial beings. Reach C.
Possess Blade (11): The caligrosto can possess bladed weapons. The demon spirit merges with and occupies the blade host. It remains insubstantial during the possession, traveling inside the host but otherwise inaccessible to it and effectively mindless. It can be injured as detailed under Parasitic, but only by attacks that affect insubstantial things. A genuine exorcist can cast the caligrosto out by winning a Quick Contest of his exorcism ability vs. the caligrosto’s Will.
The caligrosto cannot return to a blade it has been cast out of for at least 24 hours. It may choose to release its host at any time.
To possess a new blade, the caligrosto must concentrate for one second and physically touch it. Roll a Quick Contest: the caligrosto’s IQ vs. the blade’s HT. If the caligrosto loses or ties, it is mentally stunned for 1d seconds. In addition, t may never attempt to possess that blade again – it is “immune” to the caligrosto. If the caligrosto wins, it takes over the blade.
The caligrosto can wield the possessed blade with effective ST 14, using its own DX and skill. It can make the blade fly at Move 5, modified for encumbrance.
Fiendish Shade: A caligrosto is invisible in its natural (nonshade) form when it isn’t possessing a blade. This ability is constant, allowing the caligrosto to remain invisible even when attacking. As long as a caligrosto is wielding a weapon, it creates a phantom image of the last creature it damaged, although this incorporeal image is of a fiendish incarnation of the creature duplicated. A caligrosto can only duplicate the image of a creature capable of wielding a cutting weapon, and it remains at SM+0 no matter what size the original creature was.
In addition, when this ability is active, the caligrosto gets DR 4 with the Force Field enhancement. This DR not only stops damage, but also redirects it to the creature that the caligrosto is imitating with this ability. The creature does not get an active defense against the first reflected attack, but can defend normally against subsequent reflected attacks.

Rending Teeth (12): thrust 1d-4 cutting (KYOS: 1d-7 cutting). Can be used both against substantial and insubstantial beings. Reach C.
Possession (12): The manitou can possess animals, plants, and fey creatures as per Possession (p. B75) with the Telecontrol 2 enhancement (p. P67). It gains no access to the subject’s memories. True Sight reveals a thin, ghostly vine extending from the back of any possessed creature, coiling through the air and linking it to the Manitou. Manitou-possessed creatures must stay within a mile of the Manitou – a possessed creature that is moved beyond this range is immediately freed of its possession.
Fear Aura: The manitou can take a Ready maneuver to project an aura of fear. Everyone within 10 yards of the manitou must roll an immediate Fright Check at -2 (p. B360). If a victim succeeds at his Fright Check, he will be unaffected by this manitou’s Fear Aura for one hour.
