Treasure: S-Items II

Treasure: S-Items II

There's still several magic items from the Dungeon Master's Guide for D&D 3.5 that begin with an S and cannot be appended to any of the categories. So, let's tackle them. And yes, beads are S-items, because they form strands of prayer beads.

NEW FORM MULTIPLIERS FOR SORCERY ITEMS

Prayer Beads (x0.4)
DR 2 (-20%); SM-6 (-10%); can be stolen with a Quick Contest of DX (-30%).

Spoon (x0.5)

DR 1 (-20%); SM-6 (-10%); can be taken by stealth or trickery (-20%).

Stone Horse Statue (x0.55)
DR 6 (-10%); SM+1 (-25%); must be removed forcibly (-10%).

NEW ITEMS

Slippers of Spider Climbing

Slippers of Spider Climbing – as a metatronic generator (using Pyramid 3-46)
These shoes (LTIA, page 16) enable movement on vertical surfaces or even upside down along ceilings, leaving the wearer’s hands free. Neither feat requires a roll against Climbing skill, provided the surface is one you can cling to. Move while clinging is half the wearer’s Basic Move. Severely slippery surfaces—icy, oiled, or greased surfaces— make these slippers useless. Costs 1 FP/hour.
Statistics: Clinging (Apparatus, +0%; Attraction, Only feet, +20%; Magical, -10%; Nuisance Effect, Doesn’t work on severely slippery surfaces, -5%) [21].
            TL3 Cost: $40 + 21 x $125 x 2 = $5,290.
TL8 Cost: $40 + 21 x $2,500 x 2= $105,040.

Stone Horse

Stone Horse – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
Each item of this nature appears to be a full-sized, roughly hewn statue of a horse, carved from some type of hard stone. A command word brings the steed to life, enabling it to carry a burden and even to attack as if it were a real horse of the appropriate kind. The horse can only be animated if its point total is 75% of the user’s point total or lower. Animation costs 1 FP, then it can be maintained by spending 1 FP every hour.
A stone horse can carry its burden tirelessly and never needs to rest or feed. Damage dealt to it can be repaired by first using a Stone to Flesh spell, thus causing the stone horse to become a normal horse that can be healed normally. When fully healed, it automatically reverts to its stone form. While in its stone form, it can be fed gems, healing 1 point of damage for each $100 worth of mineral it is given.
There are two sorts of stone horses – courser and destrier. Their statistics are given below.
Statistics: Ally (Stone Courser; Built on 75%; Constantly; Costs 1 FP, -5%; Magical, -10%; Requires a command word, -10%; Special Abilities, +50%; Summoned, +100%) [27]. Stone Horse Statue, x0.55; 15 EP.
