Wizardry: Making and Breaking Spells III
Another post with leftovers. Passwall had to be nerfed significantly from its D&D version. Now, the casting time is low, and the cost to maintain the passage is quite steep. I had to borrow Tunnel, Before, +100% from Warp. Polymorph Any Object also has been changed. Now, it can only transform and object into a different object - it cannot turn them to creatures. Shrink Item is almost identical to its D&D counterpart; I merely removed the option of turning the item into cloth.
Passwall
Keywords: Obvious.
Full Cost: 74 points.
Casting Roll: Skill.
Components: V, S.
Cost: 1 FP to cast, 1 FP per second to maintain.
Casting Time: 1 minute.
Range: Touch.
Duration: Indefinite.
You create a passage through wooden, plaster, or stone walls, but not through earth, metal or other harder materials. The passage is 1 yard deep. If the wall’s thickness is more than the depth of the passage created, then a single Passwall simply makes a niche or short tunnel. When Passwall ends, creatures within the passage are ejected out the nearest exit. If someone dispels the Passwall or you stop maintaining it, creatures in the passage are ejected out the far exit, if there is one, or out the sole exit if there is only one.

Polymorph Any Object
Keywords: Resisted (HT).
Full Cost: 95 points or more.
Casting Roll: Skill.
Components: V, S.
Cost: 2 FP.
Casting Time: 2 seconds.
Range: Touch.
Duration: 3 minutes.
You transform an inanimate object into a different inanimate object.
By default, you may make the object assume any object’s racial template worth no more than its native racial template. Most simple objects differ only in weight (HP), HT, and Injury Tolerance. If you want to make the object assume more expensive forms, you have to pay extra points equal to the difference. Thus, Polymorph Any Object (10) costs 10 extra points but allows you to make the object assume any racial template worth no more than 10 points than its native one.
You cannot impart supernatural qualities to objects this way. Thus, even if you make an object assume a form of an enchanted item, it would only superficially resemble it and would not have any enchantments.
You can always make the object take on the form of an object you can see or touch, provided its racial template meets the requirements outlined earlier. Once the object has assumed a form, you can opt to memorize it by concentrating for one minute. This allows you to shapeshift any object into that form at any time by casting Polymorph Any Object. You can memorize a number of forms equal to your casting skill. If all your “slots” are full, you must overwrite a previously memorized form (your choice) to add the new form.

Shrink Item
Keywords: Resisted (HT).
Full Cost: 58 points.
Casting Roll: Skill.
Components: V, S.
Cost: 2 FP.
Casting Time: 1 second.
Range: Touch.
Duration: 6 days.
You are able to shrink one inanimate item to 1/10 of its normal size in each dimension (to about 1/1,000 the original volume and mass). This change effectively reduces the object’s SM by 6. Objects changed by a Shrink Item spell can be returned to normal composition and size merely by tossing them onto any solid surface or by a word of command from the original caster. Restoring the shrunken object to its normal size and composition ends the spell.
Statistics: Affliction 1 (HT; Accessibility, Only inanimate objects, -10%; Advantage, Shrink Item, +270%; Based on IQ, Own Roll, +20%; Cancellation, +10%; Costs Fatigue, 2 FP, -10%; Extended Duration, 3,000x, +140%; Fixed Duration, +0%; Magical, -10%; Malediction 1, +100%; Melee Attack, Reach C, -30%; No Signature, +20%; Requires Gestures, -10%; Requires Magic Words, -10%) [58]. Notes: “Shrink Item” is Shrinking 6 (Magical, -10%; Minimum Size Only, +0%) [27].
