Sorcery: Assorted Spells VIII

Let's make some new spells.
 
    Book Lock
    Keywords: None.
    Full Cost: 27 points or 34 points.
    Casting Roll: None. Use DX or unarmed combat skill to hit.
    Range: Touch.
    Duration: Five hours.
 
    The sorcerer must touch a closed book to cast this spell. Book Lock causes the pages and the binding to stick together and refuse to come apart regardless of how much physical effort is exerted. The caster can specify creatures that may open the book normally when he casts this spell.
    The basic (27-point) version of this spell has a duration of five hours. The improved (34-point) version has a permanent duration.
    Statistics: Affliction 1 (HT; Accessibility, Only books, -50%; Extended Duration, 100x, +80%; Fixed Duration, +0%; Melee Attack, Reach C, -30%; No Signature, +20%; Nuisance Effect, Can be overcome by Lockmaster, -5%; Paralysis, Variant, +150%; Selective Effect, +20%; Sorcery, -15%) [27]. The improved version replaces Extended Duration, 100x, +80% with Extended Duration, Permanent, +150% [+7]. Note: Book Lock resists the Lockmaster spell as a Quick Contest, using Will plus the higher of Sorcerous Empowerment or Sorcery Talent.
 
    Helping Hands

    Full Cost: 7 points/level.
    Casting Roll: None.
    Range: 10 yards.
    Duration: Indefinite.
 
    This spell creates an invisible force that can perform slow, repetitive actions as if it were a pair of hands with ST equal to this spell’s level multiplied by 2. This spell cannot affect living beings, and if it meets active resistance, it immediately dispels. Thus, it can be used to pull ropes or levers, hold doors closed, rotate handles, push blocks, etc., but cannot be used to hold a grappled person, push an enemy, etc. This force suffers a -6 penalty to any DX-based roll to do fine work using the skills listed under High Manual Dexterity (p. 59).
    Statistics: Telekinesis 2 (Accessibility, Only slow, repetitive, non-combat actions, -45%; Independent, +40%; Sorcery, -15%; Temporary Disadvantage, Ham-Fisted 2, -10%) [7]. Each additional level adds Telekinesis 2 [+7].
 
    Peacebond

    Full Cost: 25 points.
    Casting Roll: None. Use DX or unarmed combat skill to hit.
    Range: Touch.
    Duration: Five hours.
 
    The sorcerer must touch a manufactured weapon in its sheath, holder, quiver, or whatever object is used to hold it when not in use. This spell makes the weapon stuck in its holder. No amount of physical effort can draw it forth before the spell expires or is dispelled. The precise nature of the holder doesn’t matter; it can be an ornate sheath, or simply a belt through which the weapon has been stuck.
    If the bearer of the targeted weapon is attacked, he is immediately entitled to a Will roll to overcome the effect and draw the weapon. The bearer can repeat this save in every second that the assault continues.
