Bogeys are benevolent domestic fey that do the chores when the home owners are asleep. In the original source they were called boggarts, but they have been renamed to avoid confusion with the other D&D boggarts.

Dying Curse (10): When the bogey is slain, the slayer risks becoming cursed. Roll a Quick
Contest of Will against the slayer. If the slayer fails to resist, they gain
the Cursed disadvantage (p. B129). Its duration is permanent. It cannot be
removed with Dispel Magic, but Remove Curse is able to lift this effect.
House Attunement: Bogeys have a +4 bonus to Per and a +8 bonus to Stealth (when standing
still; +4 when moving) within the house they've adopted as their own. The
Stealth bonus helps only in the dark, or against listening devices, blind
creatures, and others who must rely on hearing to find the bogey. These bonuses
only function within one home that a bogey has resided in for more than 30
days.
