Treasure: Epic Weapons

This post will convert epic weapons from the Epic Level Handbook for D&D 3.0 to GURPS. Just like with most of the epic magic items, most of these are just normal magic items, but with bigger numbers.
     
Axe of the Dwarvish Lords

Axe of the Dwarvish Lords – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This great axe (p. LT70) has an armor divisor (2) and a +3 bonus to hit. However, these magical properties only work in the hands of a dwarf. A goblinoid struck by this weapon must make an HT roll to resist, gaining a bonus equal to its DR if the weapon didn’t penetrate it (DR with Tough Skin does not count). On failure, it is instantly destroyed and turned to dust.

Axe of Unholy Power

Axe of Unholy Power – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This axe (p. LT65) has its magical function unlocked only in the hands of a creature with divine powers granted by an evil-aligned deity. In such hands, it ignores DR (Not vs. Evil) of some creatures, such as angels, archons, etc., and deals additional damage to creatures with Vulnerability to unholy weapons. In addition, it acts as a axe of Puissance 2 (adds +4 to swing damage and +2 to thrust damage), but only when used against holy beings.
Statistics: Unholy Touch (Magical, -10%) [1] + Striking ST 4 (Accessibility, Only against holy beings, -50%; Magical, -10%; One Attack, This weapon, -60%) [4] (KYOS: 1). Weapon, Metal, Alignment Restriction, x0.4; 2 EP. (KYOS: 1 EP).

Backstabber

Backstabber – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This shortsword (p. LT69) of Puissance 2 (+2 to thrust damage) grants a +6 bonus when attacking vitals.
Statistics: Higher Purpose 6 (Attack vitals with this weapon; Cosmic, Allows multiple levels, +50%; Magical, -10%) [42] + Striking ST+4 (Magical, -10%; One Attack, This weapon, -60%) [6] (KYOS: 2). Weapon, Metal, x0.45; 22 EP (KYOS: 20 EP).

Chaosbringer

Chaosbringer – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This great axe (p. LT70) has its magical function unlocked only in the hands of a creature with divine powers granted by a chaotic-aligned deity. In such hands, it ignores DR (Not vs. Chaotic) of some creatures, such as modrons, inevitables, etc., and deals additional damage to creatures with Vulnerability to anarchic weapons. In addition, it acts as a great axe of Puissance 2 (adds +4 to swing damage and +2 to thrust damage), but only when used against axiomatic beings. In addition, once per day, the chaosbringer lets the wielder spend 5 FP with a Ready maneuver to increase his ST by 10 for 1 minute.

Dagger of Aberration Dread

Dagger of Aberration Dread – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
Dread weapons as attuned against a particular type of an enemy. This dagger (p. LT67) is attuned to slay aberrations. A struck aberration must make an HT roll to resist, gaining a bonus equal to its DR if the dagger didn’t penetrate it (DR with Tough Skin does not count). On failure, it is instantly destroyed and turned to dust.
Statistics: Affliction 1 (HT; Accessibility, Only on aberrations, -40%; Disadvantage, Enhanced Unnatural, +100%; Follow-Up, This weapon, +0%; Heart Attack, +300%; Magical, -10%; No Signature, +20%) [47]. Weapon, Metal, x0.45; 22 EP.

Distant Shot Longbow

Distant Shot Longbow – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This longbow (p. LT76) has its 1/2D and Max ranges multiplied by 50.
Statistics: This enchantment is based on the Far Shot imbuement skill and is 90 points (including a bought off -2 penalty), per Enhances or Transforms an Existing Attack (GURPS Thaumatology: Sorcery, p. 11). Weapon, Wooden, x0.35; 32 EP.
            TL3 Price: 2 x ($300 + 32 x $320) = $21,080.
  
Elven Greatbow

Elven Greatbow – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This longbow (p. LT76) has an armor divisor (2) and a +3 bonus to hit. However, these magical properties only work in the hands of an elf.
Statistics: DX+3 (Accessibility, Only attacks with this weapon, -80%; Magical, -10%) [12] + an enchantment based on the Penetrating Strike imbuement skill and is 34 points, per Enhances or Transforms an Existing Attack (GURPS Thaumatology: Sorcery, p. 11). Everdancing Thrusting Broadsword

Everdancing Thrusting Broadsword – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This thrusting broadsword (p. LT65) flies and fights on its own as if wielded by an invisible set of arms. The shield has ST and Move 10, and the user’s Broadsword skill. It cannot fly farther than 10 yards from the user. Costs 1 FP/minute. Even if the wielder is knocked out, asleep, or killed, it continues to attack the last target until it’s dead, or until the wielder runs out of FP.
Statistics: Telekinesis 10 (Independent, +40%; Once On, Stays On, +50%; One Task, Wielding this weapon, -40%; Sorcery, -15%) [68]. Weapon, Metal, x0.45; 31 EP.
            TL3 Price: 2 x ($300 + 31 x $320) = $20,440.

Everwhirling Chain

Everwhirling Chain – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This barbed chain (LTC2, p. 17) in enchanted to perform swift strikes. Whenever the wielder makes an attack with this barbed chain, he can make two additional ones at no extra penalty.
Statistics: Extra Attack 2 (Accessibility, Only with this weapon, -30%; Magical, -10%; Multi-Strike, +20%) [40]. Weapon, Metal, x0.45; 18 EP.

Finaldeath

Finaldeath – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This morningstar (p. LT66) affects ghosts and other insubstantial beings, as if it had the Affects Insubstantial enhancement (p. B102). An undead creature struck by this weapon must make an HT roll to resist, gaining a bonus equal to its DR if the weapon didn’t penetrate it (DR with Tough Skin does not count). On failure, it is instantly destroyed and turned to dust.
Statistics: Affliction 1 (HT; Accessibility, Only on undead, -50%; Disadvantage, Enhanced Unnatural, +100%; Follow-Up, This weapon, +0%; Heart Attack, +300%; Magical, -10%; No Signature, +20%) [46] + an enchantment based on the Ghostly Weapon imbuement skill and is 22 points, per Enhances or Transforms an Existing Attack (GURPS Thaumatology: Sorcery, p. 11). Gada of Fiery Blast

Gada of Fiery Blast – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This gada (p. LT70) gives off light as a torch. It does an additional 5d of follow-up (p. B105) burning damage. The wielder will find the weapon hot to the touch, but not uncomfortable to use.
Statistics: Burning Attack 5d (Follow-Up, This weapon, +0%; Magical, -10%; Visible, -10%) [20] + Illumination (Magical, -10%) [1]. Weapon, Metal, x0.45; 10 EP.

Gripsoul

Gripsoul – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This longsword (p. LT66) has an armor divisor (2). A living creature struck by this weapon must make an HT roll to resist, gaining a bonus equal to its DR if the weapon didn’t penetrate it (DR with Tough Skin does not count). On failure, its soul becomes trapped in the sword. The soulless victim collapses in a coma. This works much as described on p. B429, but the victim gets no HT roll to awaken and cannot be roused with the Awaken spell or similar measures – he’s soulless, not asleep. He must roll vs. HT every 12 hours until he finally fails and dies. This spell may be reversed by Remove Curse before the subject dies.

Holy Devastator – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This longsword (p. LT66) has its magical function unlocked only in the hands of a creature with divine powers granted by a good-aligned deity. In such hands, it ignores DR (Not vs. Good) of some creatures, such as demons, devils, etc., and deals additional damage to creatures with Vulnerability to holy weapons. In addition, it acts as a longsword of Puissance 2 (adds +4 to swing damage and +2 to thrust damage), but only when used against unholy beings. Furthermore, the wielder gains a +8 bonus to his HT and Will when resisting supernatural effects caused by unholy creatures.

This kusarigama (p. LT67) does an additional 5d of follow-up (p. B105) non-incendiary burning damage. The weapon visibly sheathed in icy cold, but doesn’t hurt the wielder.
Statistics: Burning Attack 5d (Follow-Up, This weapon, +0%; Magical, -10%; No Incendiary Effect, -10%; Visible, -10%) [18]. Weapon, Metal, x0.45; 9 EP.

This mace (p. LT65) deals an additional 10d of follow-up (p. B105) crushing damage when attacking objects (unattended, wielded, or worn).

Maul of Sonic Blast

Maul of Sonic Blast – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This maul (p. LT70) constantly emits a low hum, imbued with thunderous energies. On hit, it deals 5d follow-up (p. B106) non-incendiary burning damage from sonic vibrations and produces a loud sound that fills a 16-yard-radius area around the struck target. Everyone within must resist with HT; Protected Hearing gives +5, Hard of Hearing gives +4. The wielder must roll as well, but at +5. Everyone who fails to resist is physically stunned. On subsequent turns, they can roll HT to recover.

This quarterstaff (p. LT69) has an additional +2 to Parry. Whenever the wielder makes an attack with this quarterstaff, he can make an additional one at no extra penalty.

This shortsword (p. LT69) in enchanted to perform accurate very strikes. It gets +5 to skill rolls to hit.
Statistics: DX+5 (Accessibility, Only attacks with this weapon, -80%; Magical, -10%) [20]. Weapon, Metal, x0.45; 9 EP.

Souldrinker

Souldrinker – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
When this longsword (p. LT66) strikes a living being, the victim must roll against HT or suffer from a temporary loss of ST, DX, IQ, and HT equal to its margin of failure (maximum -10) for 3 minutes. The HT roll gets a bonus equal to DR, if the axe did not penetrate it, but DR with Tough Skin does not count. Lower all skills based on these attributes by a like amount. ST penalties also reduce BL and damage. HP is not otherwise affected. FP and Basic Speed are not affected.

Spear of Lightning Blast

Spear of Lightning Blast – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This spear (p. LT7069) crackles with electricity, but is harmless to the wielder. On hit, it deals 5d linked (p. B106) burning surge damage. Targets stuck by this electricity must make an HT roll, at -1 per 2 points of injury, or be physically stunned. On subsequent turns, they can roll HT to recover.

Stormbrand

Stormbrand – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This longsword (p. LT66) crackles with electricity, but is harmless to the wielder. On hit, it deals 3d linked (p. B106) burning surge damage. Targets stuck by this electricity must make an HT roll, at -1 per 2 points of injury, or be physically stunned. On subsequent turns, they can roll HT to recover. In addition, it deals 3d follow-up (p. B106) non-incendiary burning damage from sonic vibrations and produces a loud sound that fills a 4-yard-radius area around the struck target. Everyone within must resist with HT; Protected Hearing gives +5, Hard of Hearing gives +4. The wielder must roll as well, but at +5. Everyone who fails to resist is physically stunned. On subsequent turns, they can roll HT to recover.
Stormbrand grants the wielder the ability to fly at will. This works at any altitude where there is still significant atmosphere – but in the upper atmosphere, the wearer will need a way to survive in very thin, cold air (e.g., Doesn’t Breathe and Temperature Tolerance). The wielder cannot fly in a trace atmosphere or vacuum. The flight Move is Basic Speed x 2 (drop all fractions). The wielder can also “fly” at half-speed underwater. Flight includes the ability to hover at Move 0 as well.

Triple-Throw Throwing Axe – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This throwing axe (p. LT77), when thrown, splits into three copies. Effectively, the axe gets RoF 3 with Recoil 2. The copies of the axe disappear after the attack.
Statistics: This enchantment is based on the Multi-Shot imbuement skill and is 50 points (including a bought off -2 penalty), per Enhances or Transforms an Existing Attack (GURPS Thaumatology: Sorcery, p. 11). Weapon, Metal, x0.45; 23 EP.
            TL3 Price: 2 x ($150 + 23 x $320) = $15,020.


Unholy Despoiler
