Monster: Thri-Kreen
The thri-kreen are a race of hunters and nomads that resemble four-armed humanoid mantises. They possess some innate psionic abilities, but their racial template is a bit too expensive to be viable for player characters.

If thrown parallel to the ground (no more than 1 yard of height difference), it will return to the thrower, provided it missed the target, the target dodged, and it was not otherwise stopped. The thri-kreen may catch it automatically, unless it moved more than a step before or after throwing it, is stunned, or otherwise distracted. In that case, the catch requires a DX-2 roll. The caught chatkcha is considered ready, but since it returns at the end of the second it was thrown, it cannot be thrown again in that combat round. The thri-kreen may throw a chatkcha at an additional -4 penalty to make it return to another creature within range. Note that on a failed throw, the chatkcha flies 1d yards past the thrower and falls.
