Sorcery: Buff Spells
Here we have assorted buff spells converted from D&D/PF. Endure Elements makes the subject more resistant to extreme temperatures. Feather Fall lets the subject glide through the air. Resist Energy protects the subject from any energy. Tongues allows the subject to speak any language.
Endure Elements
Keywords: Buff.
Full Cost: 18 points for level 1 + 2
points/additional level.
Casting Roll: None. Use Innate

Range: 100 yards.
Duration: 30 minutes.
The subject’s temperature comfort
zone (between 35° and 90° for humans) extends by HT degrees in both directions
per level of this spell.
Statistics: Affliction 1 (HT;
Advantage, Endure Elements 1, +20%; Extended Duration, 10x, +40%; Fixed
Duration, +0%; Increased 1/2D, 10x, +15%; No Signature, +20%; Sorcery, -15%) [18].
Additional levels add further Endure Elements to Advantage (+20%) [+2]. Note: Each
level of “Endure Elements” is Temperature Tolerance 2 (Magical, -10%) [2].
Feather Fall
Keywords: Buff.
Full Cost: 28 points.
Casting Roll: None. Use Innate
Attack (Gaze) to aim.
Range: 100 yards.
Duration: 3 minutes.
The subject becomes able to glide
through the air. He cannot gain altitude. With a running leap, he can launch himself
with an air Move equal to Basic Move. Each turn, he can change velocity by up
to 10 yards/second x local gravity in Gs. To accelerate, he must descend by 1
yard for each 1 yard/second added to velocity; top speed is Basic Move x 4 (but
he can go faster if towed). To decelerate, he must fly level. If he dors not
descend at least 1 yard, he automatically decelerates by 1 yard/second that
turn. When working out turning radius, the subject’s basic air Move is 10 x
local gravity in Gs.

Range: 100 yards.
Duration: 30 minutes.
This spell gives the subject and
everything he carries an extra DR 10 against any sort of FP or HP damage incurred
from energy, whether from a direct attack or an environmental effect.
Statistics:
Affliction 1 (HT; Advantage, Resist Energy 1, +450%; Extended Duration, 10x,
+40%; Fixed Duration, +0%; Increased 1/2D, 10x, +15%; No Signature, +20%;
Sorcery, -15%) [61]. Each additional level adds more levels of Resist Energy to
the Advantage (+450%) [+45]. Note: Each level of “Resist Energy” is DR 10 (Force
Field, +20%; Limited, Energy, -20%; Magical, -10%) [45].
Tongues
Keywords: Buff.
Full Cost: 72 or 128 points.
Casting Roll: None. Use Innate

Range: 100 yards.
Duration: 30 minutes.
The basic (72-point) version of this
spell grants the subject the ability to speak every language at Accented (or
Native, if the subject has Language Talent), excluding alien languages. The
improved (128-point) version of this spell includes alien languages, though the
subject may need special technology (or the Mimicry advantage) to produce the
correct sounds.
