Sorcery: Noxious Fire Effects

Again, just like Resist Cold, Resist Fire does not count as a protection spell, so it is not included in GURPS Sorcery - Protection & Warning Spells. Mundane noxious fire effects are getting set on fire, sunburn, blindness from tight-beam burning damage to the eyes, and FP loss from extreme heat. The latter steps on the toes of Temperature Tolerance, but I think that it is fair to include it, as Immunity to Noxious Fire effects costs a whopping 10 points. Magical non-damaging noxious fire effects include the following new spells. Sunburn causes the subject to experience pain for a long time. Feverish Visions causes hallucinations. Fate of Oedipus blinds anyone using remote senses on the subject.
    
Fate of Oedipus
Keywords: Buff.
Full Cost: 141 points.
Casting Roll: None. Use Innate Attack (Gaze) to aim.
Range: 100 yards.
Duration: 3 minutes.

The subject becomes protected from scrying. Every creature viewing the subject via remote senses, such as scrying spells, Clairvoyance, etc. must roll a Quick Contest of its HT against the subject’s Will every second, using Long-Distance Modifiers (p. B241). A failure causes the scryer’s eyes to burn out, blinding him permanently. This cannot be undone via Dispel Magic (GURPS Thaumatology: Sorcery, p. 21); countering it requires Remove Curse (GURPS Thaumatology: Sorcery, p. 21) or Restore Sight.

Note: “Fate of Oedipus” is Affliction 1 (HT; Area Effect, 32,768 yards*, +700%; Aura, +80%; Cosmic, Immune to Dispel Magic, +50%; Disadvantage, Blindness, +50%; Extended Duration, Permanent, +150%; Malediction 3, +200%; Melee Attack, Reach C, -30%; Magical, -10%; No Signature, +20%; Scrying-Based, -20%) [129].
* This level of Area Effect is enough to cover a planet with a radius of 10,435 yards or below, Earth included.

Feverish Visions
Keywords: Resisted (HT).
Full Cost: 29 points.
Casting Roll: Will.
Range: Unlimited.
Duration: 1 minute.

You increase the subject’s body temperature, causing feverish visions. The subject hallucinates (p. B429) for 1 minute. After that the subject is stunned (p. B420) and may roll vs. HT once per second to recover.
Statistics: Affliction 1 (HT; Accessibility, Only on living creatures, -10%; Fixed Duration, +0%; Hallucinating, +50%; Malediction 2, +150%; No Signature, +20%; Reduced Duration, 1/3, -10%; Sorcery, 15%) [29].

Sunburn
Keywords: Resisted (HT).
Full Cost: 39 points.
Casting Roll: Will.
Range: Unlimited.
Duration: 2 days.

You cause the victim to experience sunburn regardless of the victim’s skin color. In game effects, this is equivalent to moderate pain (p. B428), but deals no damage.  The spell’s effect can be cured with normal sunburn remedies. Creatures with fur, scales, or feathers, are immune to this spell.
