Pantheon: Fharlanghn
Fharlanghn is a god of roads and travel from the core D&D pantheon with a hard-to-spell name.
Fharlanghn
Intermediate deity
Alignment: Neutral
Symbol: disk bearing a curved line with an
upturned crescent above
Home plane: Material Plane
Portfolio: horizons, distance, travel, roads
Domain (-40%): movement spells
Worshipers: bards, travelers, merchants
Fharlanghn, the deity of roads, appears as an elderly, weatherbeaten man
with deeply wrinkled skin and sparkling eyes. He wears nondescript clothing,
usually of leather and unbleached linen. His garments are always
travel-stained. He roams the roads and paths of the Material Plane, greeting
fellow travelers politely. Fharlanghn is always glad to converse, but not at
any great length. Fharlanghn is the patron of all who travel long distances, no
matter what path they follow or how they’re getting there.
Dogma: Fharlanghn insists that people need to move around and
experience new things. The state of world is not fixed, and you never know when
you might need a new perspective or even a new home. Look to the horizon for
inspiration.

Each level of this prayer doubles the
subject’s top ground speed. The subject’s multiplied Move is his top speed.
This does not affect Basic Speed, Basic Move, or Dodge. Its benefits apply only
when moving along a relatively straight, smooth course (see Sprinting, p. B354). However, the
effects of this spell end instantly if the subject stops moving, so it is
mostly only useful for paced running.
