Desanctifying Aura: A dream vestige emanates an aura of negative energy, which empowers
nearby undead. Any undead creature within 32 yards of a dream vestige gets a +2
bonus to ST, HT, and Will. If the creature leaves the aura’s area, the effects
linger for margin of failure seconds.
Form Consumption: The dream vestige can drain IQ from sapient creatures within it. The
victim loses 1 IQ per second (this does lower Will and Per), and the dream
vestige heals 1 HP per every 3 points of IQ stolen. The victims regain lost IQ
at the rate they recover FP.
Frightful Presence: When a creature sees the dream vestige, it must roll a Fright Check at
a -2 penalty. If a victim succeeds at his Fright Check, he will be unaffected
by this ability for one hour.

Entombment (12): The entomber can touch another creature that must be touching the
ground, and magically entomb it in the ground beneath its feet. This ability
doesn’t work in locations with a basement or open level immediately below, nor can
the creature entomb victims in magical, living, or animate materials, or
materials with a DR higher than 2. The upthrust bulge of cracked fl ooring material,
earth, or stone reveals the location of the victim to compatriots. The victim
is considered to be pinned by ST 22 – it cannot move, speak, or breathe. The
only way to escape is to try to break free by winning a Quick Contest of ST
against this ability. If it tries to break free and fails, it is only allowed a
repeated attempt every 10 seconds – and on a 17 or 18, it becomes so entangled
that it cannot escape on its own!
Exhume: When
an entomber performs a Ready maneuver and touches the top of a grave or space
where a creature is buried no deeper than 10 feet, the body immediately rises
to the surface, leaving no hole or tunnel. A body is not harmed when brought to
the surface in this manner.
