    Adhesive Slime: A farastu exudes a thick, tarlike slime that acts as a powerful adhesive, holding fast any creatures or items that touch it. Adhesive has ST 12 and can only be damaged by cutting or burning attacks. Lantern oil or some other flammable oil (such as alchemist’s fire) dissolves the adhesive, but the farastu still can grapple normally. A farastu can dissolve its adhesive at will, and the substance breaks down 1 minute after the creature dies. See Binding, p. B40 for more details.
    Tongues: Aside from the languages the demodand knows, it has one slot that it can fill with any spoken language that is not “secret” or “lost” at the Native comprehension level by taking a Ready maneuver.
