Treasure: Magebane Shackles

Mages require magical countermeasures. Magebane shackles deprive the shackled mage of all of his magical abilities, making him much less dangerous.

Antimagic Touch
Keywords: Resisted (Will).
Full Cost: 43 points.
Casting Roll: Will. Use DX or unarmed combat skill to hit.
Range: Touch.
Duration: 3 minutes.

This spell lets the caster neutralize all of his victim’s magical abilities. He must touch the subject. This requires an Attack maneuver in melee combat. On a hit, roll a Quick Contest of Will. The victim gets a bonus equal to his best Talent (Sorcery Talent or Magery).
If the caster wins, he neutralizes his victim’s powers for 3 minutes. If the caster loses or ties, there’s no effect – but critical failure on the caster’s Will roll cripples this spell for 1d hours.
Once the caster has neutralized a given subject, he can’t affect him again until his powers recover. Multiple attackers can use Antimagic Touch or similar neutralizing abilities on the same target. Use only the longest duration; their abilities don’t “add” in any way.
This spell only deprives the subject of the magical abilities, it doesn’t affect Talent.

Magebane Shackles

Magebane Shackles – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
These iron shackles (LT130) neutralizes all magical abilities of the shackled person. Roll a Quick Contest of Will every second between the shackled victim and the Will value of the enchanter. Once the victim loses, all his magical abilities cease to function, until after 3 minutes have passed after the removal of the shackles. SM-5, DR 4, HP 10, 2 lbs. LC4.
