Monster: Elder Brain

The elder brain is a telepathic powerhouse that rules a particular mind flayer colony (unless it is ruled by a paragon mind flayer or a brainstealer dragon). They have almost all the telepathic powers from GURPS Psionic Powers. This post assumes that psi and anti-psi powers can be taken together.

Tendrils (10): The elder brain has four weak tendrils. Each tendril has 1/4 ST of the body (ST 8 (KYOS: ST 5), in this case). These tendrils can always reach and work with each other, regardless of body positioning, general layout, or “right” and “left.” The tendrils have reach C-2. Each tendril deals 1d-4 crushing (KYOS: 1d-8 crushing) damage.
Bud Brain Golem: Once per day, an elder brain can bud a portion of its flesh, forming a golemlike creature composed of fused and hardened brains. An elder brain can never have more than three active brain golems at a time.
Dissolving Enzyme (10): The tendrils have ducts that can transmit a powerful dissolving enzyme. This takes time – the elder brain must first perform a Ready maneuver, and only then follow-up with a melee attack with one or more of its tendrils. If it succeeds, it deals 2d corrosion damage. Usually, the elder brain uses this attack when grappling the skull with all a tendril to corrode its way through the skull and extract the brain. Each use costs 2 FP.
