Martial Arts: Raiden Torpedo Technique

Martial Arts: Raiden Torpedo Technique

I love the Drop Kick technique in GURPS Martial Arts. But what if we "reverse" the drop kick? That's right, we will get Raiden's torpedo slam move. I'll try to utilize the technique-building system from GURPS Martial Arts to accomplish this. Also, this is not the same as the Human Missile technique from GURPS Supers.

Flying Thunder God*
Hard
Defaults: Acrobatics-2.
Prerequisite: Acrobatics; cannot exceed prerequisite skill.

You launch yourself at the opponent hands-first. It’s a special option for Move and Attack. Use the following rules instead of the normal rules for that maneuver.
Flying Thunder God is a type of flying tackle (p. B372). You must move at least half your Move towards your target and have at least two hands free. The attack itself has a reach of 1 yard. Roll against Flying Thunder God to hit. Damage is as for a slam, but add +2 or +1 per die, whichever is better (do not add extra damage for brass knuckles, fistloads, or similar items). This damage is doubled for the purpose of knockback. Whether you succeed or fail, you end up lying down. You may elect to fall in the hex where the collision took place or, if the attack caused knockback, to move along with the target and fall in the same hex as your foe. Until your next turn, you may block or parry from the ground at the usual penalties, but you can’t dodge or retreat.
GMs may allow an Acrobatics-5 roll for the attacker to land on his feet after a successful Flying Thunder God, or a Flying Thunder God that missed its target but instead his a solid obstacle, such as a wall. A miss results in a fall!

Under the Hood:
Based on Flying Tackle (p. B372) - default +4;
Extra Damage: +2 or +1 per die - default -4;
Special Drawback (both hands free) - default +1;
Special Drawback (must use Acrobatics) - default +1;
Special Drawback (must move at least half your Move) - default +1;
Special Benefit (double knockback) - default -4; I decided to quadruple the penalty, because this shove effect is added to the attack without replacing the actual damage.
Special Benefit (may opt to travel with the target) - default -1.
