Treasure: Sword of Light

Treasure: Sword of Light

One of my players wants to play Gourry from Slayers. I haven't watched the anime and have no idea who that person is, but the player in question explained what his "sword" does and asked me to stat it up as a magical item. Here's the result.

NEW FORM MULTIPLIER FOR SORCERY ITEMS

            Hilt (x0.45)
DR 3 (-15%); SM-6 (-10%); can be stolen with a Quick Contest of DX (-30%).

Sword of Light

Sword of Light – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This is a magic hilt that can be attached to any broadsword-length blade with a Ready maneuver. Using it in this mode costs 1 FP per hour. However, when empty or detached with a Ready maneuver, in emergencies it can produce a beam of searing light. This can be used no more than 4 times per day, and each use costs 1 FP. Attack with this beam using the Broadsword skill. The beam has Reach C-2, and it deals 4d burning damage on swings. Against unholy creatures, the beam works as if it had a (5) armor divisor and the Affects Insubstantial enhancements. When used to parry, the beam deals damage to the weapon parried. A parry counts as a use.
Alternatively, when there is a blade attached, the wielder can spend 1 FP to launch the blade at the enemy using the Innate Attack (Projectile) skill. Regardless of the blade's quality, it deals 3d impaling damage on hit. This attack has Acc 3, 1/2D 10, Max 20. Note that after the blade has been launched, it must be retrieved, or the hilt must be attached to another blade. Also, the blade must be able to deal impaling damage, i.e. you can use a blade from a thrusting broadsword, but cannot use one from a normal broadsword. This is a Mini (SM-6) item. 0.3 lb.
Statistics: Accessory (Hilt; Magical, -10%) [1] + Burning Attack (Affects Insubstantial, Only against unholy beings, +14%; Armor Divisor, (5), Only against unholy beings, +105%; Costs 1 FP, -5%; Destructive Parry, +10%; Emergencies Only, -30%; Limited Uses, 4/day, -20%; Magical, -10%; Melee Attack, Reach 1, 2, -20%; Requires the hilt to be empty, -10%) [27] + Impaling Attack 3d (Costs 1 FP, -5%; Increased 1/2D, x5, +10%; Limited Use, Thrown, -20%; Magical, -10%; Reduced Range, x1/5, -20%; Requires a blade, -10%) [10].
