Treasure: Monocle of the Delver

Treasure: Monocle of the Delver

A player in my game requested this item to help his character in dungeon delving situations.

Monocle of the Delver

Monocle of the Delver – as an enchanted item (using Sorcery)
This silver monocle gives the wearer an ability to detect mechanical traps of any sort – from concealed pits to monowire tripwire with a successful Per roll. The wearer must be seeing the place where the trap is placed with his own eyes. In addition to this, the monocle gives the wearer Night Vision 3 (p. B72). However, the wearer suffers from Tunnel Vision (p. B151) while using the monocle.
Statistics: Detect (Mechanical Traps; Cannot Analyze, -10%; Magical, -10%; Reflexive, +40%; Temporary Disadvantage, Tunnel Vision, -30%; Vision-Based, -20%) [7] + Night Vision 3 (Magical, -10%; Temporary Disadvantage, Tunnel Vision, -30%) [2]. Usually On; Monocle, x0.5; 5 EP.
TL3 Price: 2 x ($30 + 5 x $320) = $3,260.
TL8 Price: 2 x ($600 + 5 x $1,180) = $13,000.
