Short Spines (9): 1d-2 impaling plus, Reach C. This is defensive weaponry, intended to discourage attackers; a hellchain weaver cannot use its Spines actively. However, it gets a DX-4 roll to hit each foe in close combat with it once per turn, as a free action. Roll at +2 against foes who attacked it from behind. Those who grapple or slam a hellchain weaver are hit immediately and automatically – and those who slam it take maximum damage!
Iron Webs: By spending 2 FP and taking four seconds, the hellchain weaver can weave a web of iron chains. It can shape it into any form, but each segment is six yards long and one yard wide. The chains act as Binding with ST 14 (p. B40) and impede vision.
Rasping Metal: As a Ready maneuver, the hellchain weaver can begin to produce loud noise of rasping metal. After that, the noise does not require an action to maintain, but to stop it, the hellchain weaver must take another Ready maneuver. While this ability is active, the hellchain weaver produces a horrid, rhythmic shrieking that sounds like metal rasping against metal, imposing a -6 penalty to Hearing rolls made within 4 yards of it, and +6 to Hearing rolls made to detect it.
