Martial Arts: Slide Kick Technique

Martial Arts: Slide Kick Technique

Let's have another Mortal Kombat move as a cinematic technique.

Slide Kick*
Hard
Defaults: Karate-5.
Prerequisite: Karate; cannot exceed prerequisite skill.

You slide across the floor at a steady speed, and connect with a kick to the foot of a standing opponent. If the opponent is not standing, then you can target whatever hit location is touching the ground; you can target the legs of a kneeling opponent, or any hit location of a prone opponent.
Slide Kick is a special option for Move and Attack (p. B365). Use the rules below instead of the normal ones for that maneuver. If you use this technique, it’s all you can do that turn, no matter how fast or skilled you are.
To execute a Slide Kick, you have to move forward in a straight line at least half your Move. If successful, then at the end of your move, roll against your level with this technique to hit, applying the normal hit location penalties. If you hit, you inflict your usual kicking damage.
If you miss, or if the opponent successfully dodges, you make a DX roll to avoid ending up off-balance and unable to retreat until your next turn.

Under the Hood:
Based on kicking - default -2;
Based on Move and Attack - default -4;
Special Drawback (must move at least half your Move in a straight line) - default +1;
Special Drawback (limited hit locations) - default +1;
Special Benefit (no skill cap) - default -1;
Special Feature (chance to fall is replaced with a chance to lose balance) - default +0.
