Alchemy: Combat Elixirs I
The first batch of combat elixirs from GURPS Magic. Most of them make more sense as potions, but I decided to make Powder of Fetching and Carrying a powder with a long duration.
Potion of Battle
This dark red potion adds 1d to the user’s DX
and gives the same number of Fearlessness (B55).
Duration: 1 hour.
Form: Potion.
Cost: $2,610 (singular); $940
(5-batched).
Cost (Herbal): $2,088 (singular); $750
(5-batched).
Recipe: $261; 38 days; defaults to
Alchemy-9.
Statistics: Affliction 1 (HT; Advantage,
Potion of Battle, +800%; Magical, -10%; Potion, -25%) [87]. Notes: «Potion of
Battle» is DX+4 (Magical, -10%) [72] + Fearlessness 4 (Magical, -10%) [8]. The
bonus was converted to 1d as per p. B269.
Potion of Endurance
The imbiber does not lose FP through normal
exertion. He can still lose fatigue from starvation, thirst, sleeplessness,
etc. Likewise, any use of magic, psionics, and extra effort has its normal
costs. When the potion’s effect wears off, the imbiber instantly loses 12 FP.
Duration: 1 hour.

Powder of Fetching and Carrying
This red powder when mixed with food or drink
grants the subject Lifting ST 5 (B65) after 2d minutes. Useful when fed to
beasts of burden.
Duration: 1 day.
Form: Powder.
Cost: $690 (singular); $250 (5-batched).

Cost (Herbal): $552 (singular); $200 (5-batched).

Recipe: $84; 5 days; defaults to Alchemy-3.

Powder of Fetching and Carrying, +140%; Extended Duration, 1,000x, +60%; Magical,

is Lifting ST+5 (Magical, -10%) [14] (KYOS: 32). Extended Duration costs only 60%,
because the Powder meta-enhancement already includes Extended Duration, 30x,
+60%.
Potion of Leadership
This blue potion grants the subject a +4 to
Intelligence Analysis, Leadership, Savoir-Faire (Military), Strategy, and
Tactics. The imbiber’s side gets a +4 bonus to its roll for initiative (see Partial Surprise, p. B393), provided the
imbiber is the leader.
