Sorcery: Least Spells II
There's a lot of new spells in the new book. It will probably take twelve or so posts to convert them all. But at least I am motivated to do something!
Sometimes I get an urge to make some GURPS content, be it something original, or something converted from another system/media. Maybe if I post it here, it will be useful not only to me. Keep in mind that I'm not a native English speaker and please forgive any mistakes.
Let's stat up the other energy weapon from Doom with the Beam and Blaster Design System article and TheRyujinLP's houserules. It's not going to be 100% authentic, but representing all the tracer beams stuff is a big hassle - let's settle on a single-shot weapon that needs 3 seconds of charging to fire an explosive projectile that contains TL9 C-cell worth of energy.
Remember Pyramid #3-37? The one with the Blaster and Laser Design System article? I do. If you do, I suggest you to check out GURB and Hard Maths, as they have a ton of additional options for that article. Let's play around with the beam weapon design system and try to recreate the plasma rifle from Doom.
I'm kind of swamped with various projects right now, so let's squeeze out a simple monster post that converts three creations from the Geneforge video game series. They are big, strong, resistant to damage, but are a bit smarter than the thahds from the previous post. Fur is optional, according to the game's wiki.
While I'm working on something bigger, let's do some more Geneforge writeups. Thahds are simple battle creations that can absorb a lot of physical damage, but are vulnerable to magic. There are several thahd variants, but only two of them are described on the wiki - so there you go.
