Sorcery: Making & Breaking Spells II

Sorcery: Making & Breaking Spells II

Four making spells. Copy makes a copy of a page of writing. Dye changes a material's color. Rejoin heals an object. Restore makes the object look as new.

Copy
Keywords: None.
Full Cost: 14 points.
Casting Roll: None.
Range: 10 yards.
Duration: Instantaneous.

Makes one copy of a single page of writing. Paper or parchment must be supplied for the copies to be made on. Copies of magical scrolls, rune parchments, and so on do not have magic power.
Statistics: Telekinesis 1 (Accessibility, Requires paper, -10%; Independent, +40%; One Task, Copying, -70%; Reduced Time 10, +200%; Sorcery, -15%) [13] + Accessory (TK Pen) [1]. Note: Here, Reduced Time is used to shorten a 10-minute writing to one second, which was chosen because it costs the same as an Average technique to buy off the -10 for “instant use.”

    Dye
    Keywords: Area (Special).
    Full Cost: 18 points for level 1 + 6 points/additional level.
    Casting Roll: IQ.
    Range: 100 yards.
    Duration: Indefinite.

Changes the color of any unliving material, as desired by the caster (note that hair is unliving, as is a thin outer layer of skin!). One the caster stops maintaining the spell, the color fades in 2d days, but is unaffected by ordinary washing or application of solvents.
Only a single, uniform, color can be produced – patterns are not possible, but only part of the subject may be affected if the caster desires.
You can change the color in an area up to the spell’s level in radius.
Statistics: Control Solids 1 (Accessibility, Only to an uniform color, -5%; Cosmetic, Only to change color, -80%; Ranged, +40%; Selective Area, +20%; Sorcery, -15%) [18/level]. Each additional level adds Control Solids +1 (Accessibility, Only to an uniform color, -5%; Cosmetic, Only to change color, -80%; Only increases area of effect, -50%; Ranged, +40%; Selective Area, +20%; Sorcery, -15%) [6/level].

Rejoin
Keywords: None.
Full Cost: 14 points.
Casting Roll: IQ.
Range: Touch.
Duration: 1 hour.

By making physical contact with an object, you may temporarily restore it 1d HP. Healed HP disappear when the spell ends. If used more than once per day on a given object, you are at a cumulative -3 per successful restoration. Failure costs you 1d FP instead of the usual 1 FP!
Statistics: Healing (Accessibility, Only objects, -10%; Capped, 2 FP, -25%; Injuries Only, -20%; Magical, -10%; Maximum Duration, 1 hour, -10%; Reduced Fatigue Cost 1, +20%) [14]. Note: The 4 HP of healing has been converted to dice per p. B269.

Restore
Keywords: Buff.
Full Cost: 11 points.
Casting Roll: None. Use Innate Attack (Gaze) to aim.
Range: 100 yards.
Duration: 3 minutes.

Temporarily makes a broken inanimate object look as good as new. Other senses will not be fooled, nor will Mage Sight.
Statistics: Affliction 1 (HT; Accessibility, Only on broken objects, -20%; Advantage, Restore, +10%; Fixed Duration, +0%; Increased 1/2D, 10x, +15%; No Signature, +20%; Sorcery, -15%) [11]. Note: “Restore” is No Visible Damage (Magical, -10%) [1].
