Monster: Razor Boar

Monster: Razor Boar

Monster Manual II has two monsters that fall under the OGL. The razor boar is one of them. A dire boar on steroids with incredibly sharp tusks. In D&D, their vorpal tusks decapitate, but are an extraordinary ability, not a supernatural one. Thus, I just decided to give them a huge armor divisor without granting anything more related to neck-cutting.

Monster: Rust Monster

Monster: Rust Monster

The infamous bane of all adventurers! This metal-smelling insectoid (on four legs, according to the picture) can rust metal with just a touch. Finally, I found an excuse to use the feelers from GURPS Powers: Enhanced Senses and smell-based Detect. I love sensory abilities.

Monster: Urophion

Monster: Urophion

The urophion is the result of implanting an illithid tadpole into a roper. The result is terrifying.

Monster: Roper

Monster: Roper

Now this is a very cool monster. Barely mobile, but able to camouflage against vision and infravision, it releases sticky strands to unwary prey and pulls it into its mouth.

Monster: Roc

Monster: Roc

That's just a giant giant eagle. Nothing special, just a big bird of prey, but is a staple of the fantasy genre.

Monster: Remorhaz

Monster: Remorhaz

The remorhaz is an arctic predator that shares its hunting grounds with frost worms, dining on frost giant, muskoxen, and caribou. It saves itself from cold not by developing an innate resistance to cold, but by radiating extreme heat that fries everything nearby. However, it can stop doing so to hide under snow and ice and surprise the prey.

Monster: Ravid

Monster: Ravid

This is another one of those monsters that nobody remembers. Probably because it's native to the Positive Energy Plane that is very hostile and has very few points of interest for the adventurers to explore.

Monster: Rast

Monster: Rast

The rast is a fire outsider with lots of claws, a vampiric bite, and a paralyzing gaze. A very strange monster.

Monster: Rakshasa

Monster: Rakshasa

Let's go back to converting monsters, there aren't that many left in the Monster Manual for D&D 3.5. This post details the rakshasa - an innately magical shapeshifting/mindreading tigerman. Also, I decided to also add the description of their racial deity Ravanna from the Dragon Magazine #326. The deity's portfolio is very similar to the scope of rakshasas innate spellcasting, so why would a rakshasa worship their own racial deity? I've decided to change things a bit to make the deity expand their racial spellcasting.

Treasure: Helms

Treasure: Helms

Finally, the last wondrous items from the Dungeon Master's Guide for D&D 3.5! When I first looked at the long list, I was really intimidated. It's hard to believe that I had enough steam to finish it, but there's still a lot to convert - magic weapons, armor, rings, artifacts, cursed items, staves, rods, etc. But I will probably return to converting monsters after this one.

Treasure: Loot Pile IV

Treasure: Loot Pile IV

Here we have some random items. Second to last treasure post that converts wondrous items.

Treasure: Containers and Ropes

Treasure: Containers and Ropes

Here we have three extradimensional containers and two magical ropes. The portable hole ended up being ridiculously expensive.

Treasure: Figurines of Wondrous Power

Treasure: Figurines of Wondrous Power

When I was playing D&D, I did not notice that there are so many summoning items. The figurines of wondrous power are probably the most iconic ones. There are many other variants outside of the Dungeon Master's Guide, but we will leave them be for now. The marble elephant is based on the template from GURPS Animalia.

Treasure: Bottles, Flasks, and Decanters

Treasure: Bottles, Flasks, and Decanters

We're quite close to having all wondrous items from the Dungeon Master's Guide for D&D 3.5 converted. This post will detail four various magical bottles, flasks, and decanters.

Alchemy: Wondrous Elixirs

Alchemy: Wondrous Elixirs

The wondrous items section in the Dungeon Master's Guide for D&D 3.5 contains quite a few items that seem that they would better be classified as alchemical elixirs. So, that's what I did. I omit the incense of meditation, because it cannot be properly represented in GURPS.

Treasure: Mirrors, Orbs, and Pearls

Treasure: Mirrors, Orbs, and Pearls

Here we have some more magic items from the Dungeon Master's Guide for D&D 3.5. I find it funny that the mirror of opposition was that easy to stat up. I'm omitting the pearl of power, because it cannot be adapted to GURPS.

Treasure: I-Items

Treasure: I-Items

No, I'm not stuttering. This post will have some items from the Dungeon Master's Guide for D&D 3.5 that start with an "I". Instant fortress was quite a challenge to stat up. And who doesn't like the ioun stones?

Treasure: S-Items II

Treasure: S-Items II

There's still several magic items from the Dungeon Master's Guide for D&D 3.5 that begin with an S and cannot be appended to any of the categories. So, let's tackle them. And yes, beads are S-items, because they form strands of prayer beads.

Treasure: Horns

Treasure: Horns

The Dungeon Master's Guide for D&D 3.5 has a surprising number of magical horns. Let's convert them and get even more closer to finishing the wonderous items section.
