Alchemy: Hostile Elixirs I
Here we have the first batch of hostile elixirs from GURPS Magic. Potion of Aging ages the imbiber 1 year. Powder of Death is a poison to spike food or drinks. Powder of Frustration makes the subject more likely to fail under stress. Terror Grenade is a very costly crowd control weapon.
Potion of Aging
The imbiber ages 1 year during the 5 hours of
the effect’s duration.
Duration: 5 hours.
Form: Potion.

Statistics: Affliction 1 (HT; Advantage, Potion

Notes: “Potion of Aging” is Unaging (Age Control, Only Forwards, +10%; Magical,
-10%; Reduced Time 8, +160%) [39]. Extended Duration costs only 20%, because
the Potion meta-enhancement already includes Extended Duration, 30x, +60%.
Powder of Death
This poisonous black powder when mixed with
food or water deals 4d toxic damage to a victim who consumed it. This damage
has an onset of 2d minutes and can be reduced to 2d toxic damage with a
successful HT roll.
Duration: Instantaneous.

Cost (Herbal): $96 (singular); $35 (5-batched).

Powder of Frustration
This orange powder when mixed with food or
drink grants the subject the Low Self-Image disadvantage (B143) after 2d
minutes.

Terror Grenade
This alchemical grenade can be thrown (range is
STx3.5). It has a 2 second fuse time, after which it explodes, creating a cloud
of terror gas in a 4-yard radius. The cloud persists for 10 seconds and may
drift with the wind. Any creature that inhales the gas makes an immediate
Fright Check. If it successfully resists, it becomes immune to Terror Grenade
for 1 hour.
